Tiger Woods Opens Up on Failed Marriage, Future in Golf

Image
Tiger Woods says he has a “fantastic” relationship with his ex-wife and he has taken steps to explain to his two children what happened to their marriage. In a rare and extensive interview with  Time  magazine , Woods also shared the same sentiments about his future that he did Tuesday at the tournament he is hosting in the Bahamas. He still wants to play golf at the highest level, though he is resigned that it might not happen if the nerve damage in his back doesn’t allow for it. The world’s former No. 1 player was interviewed by Canadian golf author Lorne Rubenstein at Woods’ new restaurant in Florida. They covered topics ranging from his greatest joy on the golf course to chipping sessions with Seve Ballesteros to his family.  Woods, who turns 40 on Dec. 30, says he has told 8-year-old Sam and 6-year-old Charlie that his parents don’t live in the same house because “Daddy made some mistakes.” “I just want them to understand before they get to the Internet age and they log o

Singer Scott Weiland dies in Minnesota at age 48

Image
Rock singer Scott Weiland, the troubled ex-frontman for the band Stone Temple Pilots, died during a tour stop with his new band the Wildabouts in Minnesota, according to a statement posted to his Facebook page late on Thursday. Weiland, 48, died in his sleep while on tour in Bloomington, south of Minneapolis, according to the statement. His death also was reported by TMZ.com and Billboard. The California-born singer, who had acknowledged a long history of substance abuse, was kicked out of Stone Temple Pilots in 2013 for what his bandmates' attorney called "destructive behavior." He also performed with the group Velvet Revolver for a number of years. Weiland, known for his growling vocals and shock of dyed red hair, came to symbolize the early 1990s grunge era as lead singer and lyricist for the Stone Temple Pilots. Adept at altering his vocal style, he sometimes sang through a megaphone at concerts. Weiland's Facebook page gave no details about the circums

Kevin Owens vs. Brock Lesnar, the Royal Rumble and More from the Panic Mailbag

Image
WWE  Raw's ratings are not very good right now, and with Brock Lesnar  still  a ways away ,  WWE  seems content in letting it fly with its young roster. Good on the company.  As long as   WWE   is on television, ratings will always matter. And while WWE   has shifted its business model to revolve around the   WWE Network, historically low Raw ratings are still a source of panic. I truly believe within next 10 years,  WWE  Raw will air exclusively on WWE  Network, as traditional cable television goes the way of the newspaper and radio. But for now,  WWE  needs television as its young stars continue to acclimate themselves to the main event. The consistently low ratings shouldn't necessarily warrant any overreactions (i.e. adding dates to Lesnar 's contract, etc.), but perhaps a format change is in order. While much of what we saw during the Attitude Era cannot be replicated in a TV-PG environment, one aspect  WWE  can borrow from is the way  stor

Pam Anderson Bares All For Final Playboy Nude

Image
Former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson will grace the cover and centrefold of Playboy magazine's final nude issue. Anderson, 48, revealed she had been asked to pose nude for the publication in an interview with celebrity news show Entertainment Tonight. Playboy announced in October it was ending a more than 60-year tradition of publishing nude images of women, saying the practice had become "passe" due to the availability of free images online. No other celebrity has graced the Playboy cover more than Anderson, who was first photographed for the magazine in 1989. The January/February 2016 issue, due out on 11 December, will be Anderson's 13th time on the cover. "I got a call from (Hugh Hefner's) attorney who said, 'We don't want anybody else. There's nobody else, could you do the last cover of Playboy'?" Anderson added that she had to ask permission from her two teenage sons before agreeing to pose nude one last time. She said

Death Threat' Labour MP Receives Email Apology

Image
Labour MP Neil Coyle, who received an apparent Twitter death threat over his backing of Syria airstrikes, says he has now been sent an apology. But the MP for Bermondsey and Old Southwark said that as he did not know who the threat was from, he informed the police and the matter is now out of his hands. He said he contacted police as the alleged abuse had left him worried for his wife, staff and volunteers. Scotland Yard has confirmed it is investigating a number of online threats made on social media against MPs following the controversial Commons vote. The message sent to Mr Coyle, which included emojis of knives and has since been deleted, said: "@coyleneil , u voted for airstrikes in syria , if i see u round ends." Darren McCaffrey, Sky's Politics Reporter in Westminster, said police officers are being placed outside Mr Coyle's constituency office, such is the perceived threat. The scare follows a letter - penned to Labour members by Jeremy Corbyn and

San Bernardino Shooting: Bomb And Gun Images

Image
Images have emerged of the guns and explosive devices used by the husband and wife who shot dead 14 people at a social services centre in California. Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik carried out the massacre while a party was being held in the building in San Bernardino on Wednesday. A picture of the screen from the bomb squad robot shows three connected pipe bombs left behind, designed to be operated by a toy car remote control. They did not work. Police said they found a dozen more pipe bombs in a bag and nearly 5,000 rounds of ammunition at the killers’ home. Images of the assault rifles and guns they used have also been released, as well as a new photo of their truck peppered with bullet holes. The pair had more than 1,600 bullets with them when they were shot dead in their rented black Ford Expedition - which was being pursued by 23 police officers. Farook, a US-born restaurant inspector, had been in touch with Islamic extremists on social media, a US intelligence agen

Oprah Denies Avon Rumor

The rumor mill has settled again on its favorite takeover target, the beleaguered  Avon  Products Inc., and this time it’s Oprah who’s said to be looking to buy into the direct beauty merchant. A spokeswoman for Oprah cleared up the rumor, noting, “This information is not true.” The rumor pushed the stock up as much as 17.5 percent Wednesday. The TV personality and branding juggernaut has become something of an investor, recently taking a substantial stake and board seat at Weight Watchers International Inc., a fact that appears to have helped feed the rumor. Unscrupulous investors have been known to whisper such rumors to boost a stock just as they look to sell out. As the close approached on Wall Street, the stock was still up 6.7 percent to $3.72. More than 23.1 million shares traded hands, better than twice the average of 11.1 million. The move left  Avon  with a market capitalization of $1.6 billion — illustrating just how far the company has fallen since it shot down Co

The Ins and Outs of Facilitated Sex

Image
When it comes to typical volunteer activities, you probably think of walking shelter dogs or helping out at a soup kitchen. But in Taiwan, there’s an NGO called  Hand Angel , which promotes the sexual rights of people with physical disabilities by providing free hand jobs to those who are unable to pleasure themselves. Hand Angel screens recipients to make sure that they are recognized by the government as being physically — but not mentally — incapacitated. Once approved, each person is entitled to a maximum of three hand jobs. The volunteers (there are 10, from a range of backgrounds) can caress the applicants and kiss them on the face, but penetration (finger, oral, intercourse) is off-limits. Unsurprisingly, the service has come under fire, according to  Vice , with Internet users posting comments like, “Do they also offer Mouth Angels?” and a Taipei official stating, “I don’t think we need to bring up disabled people’s sexuality as an independent issue. There are more impor

Women With PMS May Face This Health Risk

Image
Women who experience moderate to severe premenstrual syndrome (PMS) are significantly more likely than others to develop high blood pressure over the next 20 years, according to a new U.S. study. Up to 15 percent of women have symptoms leading up to their menstrual periods that are severe enough to disrupt daily life. PMS can include nausea, forgetfulness, dizziness, hot flashes, insomnia, depression or cramping that begin within 14 days before a period begins and can last a few days into the period. PMS had not been linked to high blood pressure before, but they share many risk factors and likely share several mechanisms, said lead author Dr. Elizabeth R. Bertone-Johnson of the School of Public Health and Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston. Both conditions may involve dysfunction of the system that regulates fluid balance, blood volume and arterial constriction, Bertone-Johnson told Reuters Health by em

Real Madrid Latest Robert Lewandowski, Cristiano Ronaldo Rumours

Image
Real Madrid  have a great chance to finally sign Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski, according to reports. Los Blancos see the Polish striker as a potential replacement for discontented Cristiano Ronaldo, having already tried to sign him twice. Those attempts failed, but there are now reasons to believe Madrid can at last get their man, according to  AS .com . Citing sources in Poland, the report states how Lewandowski's agent, Cezary Kucharski, is adamant his client will eventually seal a big move away from the Bundesliga. Lewandowski is also said to be keen on the financial rewards and prestige available in Spain's top flight:  No matter what happens, 'Lewy’s' career will not end at Bayern Munich, they say; Secondly, after the Balón d’Ór voting, the on-fire striker has realized that la Liga is the most popular platform on the planet to play the game. They say he watches Spanish football on television and likes the way the game is played over here. Third of a

Suarez: I wouldn't leave Barcelona for triple my wages

Image
Luis Suarez  says he has no intention of leaving  Barcelona , even if another club was willing to triple his wages. The Uruguay international joined Barcelona from Liverpool after the 2014 World Cup and has since developed into a key figure at Camp Nou. The 28-year-old's contract with the Catalan giant runs until June 2019 and he hopes to stay at the club for many more years to come. "I have suffered a lot to end up Barcelona. This is the club where I always wanted to play," Suarez told reporters. "I would not even leave if another club offered me three times my current wages. "My family is happy and a departure is impossible. I aim to stay at Barcelona for many more years." Suarez has flourished alongside  Lionel Messi  at Camp Nou, but the Argentine has recently been linked with a move to  Manchester City . However, Suarez does not fear his teammate will say farewell to Barcelona any time soon. "In my opinion, it is impossible that M

Mourinho to move for Ibrahimovic

Image
Chelsea  manager  Jose Mourinho  wants to sign  Zlatan Ibrahimovic  when his  Paris Saint-Germain  contract expires at the end of the season, according to the  Sun . Mourinho has struggled to find an alternative to Diego Costa since returning to west London, with Falcao failing to recapture his best form and Loic Remy finding opportunities few and far between. Ibrahimovic looks likely to become a free agent at the end of the campaign and has been linked with a return to AC Milan, with whom he won a Scudetto in 2010-11. But Mourinho could throw a spanner in the works by bringing the Swede to England for the first time as he looks to devise Chelsea's route back to the top on the back of their disastrous form over the past four months.

Wenger: I don't know how long Alexis & Cazorla will be out

Image
The Spanish midfielder could miss three months with knee ligament damage while the Chilean is expected to be absent for a month with a hamstring injury.  Arsenal  manager  Arsene Wenger  has admitted he does not know how long star duo  Alexis Sanchez  and  Santi Cazorla  will be out for after suffering injuries against  Norwich City . Goal  understands Cazorla is facing three months on the sidelines after scans revealed he had sustained knee ligament damage in the 1-1 draw on Sunday. The Gunners are hopeful that Alexis, meanwhile, will only miss a month as they assess the extent of his hamstring injury. "At the moment on Alexis, Santi and Mikel [Arteta], we don't know how long they will be out for," Wenger told Arsenal's official website.  "It is always a disappointment to lose the players at an important moment of the season. But on the other hand, it is a great opportunity to show that we are ready for a fight and we can deal with it." Kieran Gibbs (c

Costa in spotlight as Chelsea eye revival

Diego Costa  will try to silence the growing criticism of his poor form after the troubled Chelsea  striker dominated the build-up to  Bournemouth 's visit to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.  After his reaction to being dropped overshadowed Chelsea's draw at Tottenham last weekend, Costa appeared to be heading for more controversy when the Spain star was photographed leaving a London nightclub along with team-mates Kenedy   and   Ramires   in the early hours of Thursday morning. However, Blues boss Jose Mourinho had given his approval for the players to go out for their Christmas party and Costa was in shape to train nine hours later with the rest of the squad. Mourinho will hope the night out helps lift his players, and Costa in particular, as they attempt to move away from the lower reaches of the Premier League table. His decision to leave Costa on the bench against Tottenham prompted a show of indignation from the forward, who at one stage appeared to toss his trainin

Kanye West Excited for Son to Arrive 'Any Day Now,' Gushes Over His 'Rich' Wife

Kanye West was excited to talk about his family when he hit the stage to accept the Shoe of the Year honor for his Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 at the Footwear News 29th Annual Achievement Awards. “I’m waiting on  my son to arrive any day now ,” he told the audience on Wednesday night. “I look at my daughter and I look at  my wife [Kim Kardashian]  and she’s rich and I don’t plan on being broke.” While Kim has admitted that her husband has an  impact on her style , during his speech, the 38-year-old rapper admitted that his wife also dresses him. “I know you’re thinking, ‘Where’s my suit jacket?’ But if my wife’s not here, no suit jacket,” he quipped. The jokes didn’t stop there. Kanye even made light of his lengthy, headline-grabbing speech  at the MTV Video Music Awards. “If you don’t like a 10 minute, profanity-ridden speeches that end with a presidential bid, you can go to the bathroom,” he said with a laugh. Kanye also gushed over his daughter, North West. “She might not be making
