The forward who part of the Super Eagles that silenced Swaziland in the 2018 Fifa World Cup second round qualifier will not join the Dream Team VI as they hope to secure a place in Rio 2016. “The initial plans I had with the player and his representative was that he would join us at least five days to the competition and also help the team till the semi-finals stage which he agreed but later he told somebody very close to me that his club Manchester City is not convinced to release him again since he was dumped on the bench at the last Fifa U20 World Cup under Coach Manu Garba. No panic' over final amid Belgian terror threat

Belgium organizers of a showpiece tennis event say there's no need to panic over its staging despite the "serious and imminent" threat of a Paris-style attack in Brussels. The city of Ghent, 35 miles from the Belgian capital, will host the Davis Cup final between Belgium and Great Britain -- tennis' blue riband team competition -- between 27-29 November with 13,000 spectators attending each day. The moment a recommendation comes in from our government that we should consider to cancel the event -- that will change everything. But that hasn't happened," Gijs Kooken, CEO of Tennis Flanders, which organizes the event, told CNN."There is no reason to panic but it's a shame a great moment for Belgian and British sport is being overshadowed by this. But of course, the security of 13,000 people is much, much more important than sport.

After a French tragedy, an ugly fight in America

http://ht.cdn.turner.com/cnn/big//tv/2015/11/21/gop-refugee-rhetoric-serfaty-dnt-erin.cnn_cnn_iphone_cell.mp4 An ugly week in politics turned the tragedy of Paris into a raging domestic quarrel as many of America's leaders struggled to prove they were equal to a terrifying moment. ISIS' multipronged shooting sprees and bombings returned the horrific threat of an international terrorist rampage to a dominant place in U.S. politics that it hasn't held since the fear-filled days after September 11, 2001. Nerves in the United States were set on edge by tales of horror filtering across the Atlantic, by bomb scares aboard French airliners in North America and by blood-curdling ISIS videos warning that the next massacre could unfold over here. But as heavily armed police fanned out in New York City and Washington, there was none of the unity of purpose that sustained the nation after 9/11. In fact, politicians on both sides of the aisle responded by digging

"I am coach of Castilla and Benitez of the first team. Things are fine at the moment," said Zidane. "I am with Castilla and if I stay at the club it is the coach Castilla. Last year, at the end of the season, I had the feeling that I still lacked something to take ove

Who would you replace Rafa Benitez with?

Image
The former Napoli manager is feeling the pressure at Real Madrid after being humiliated in the Clasico - if Florentino Perez does pull the trigger, who should replace him? Rafa Benitez appears to be on borrowed time at Real Madrid , with his much criticised style of play compounded by a humbling 4-0 defeat at home to Barcelona in Saturday's one-sided Clasico . According to the latest rumours , Blancos president Florentino Perez is set to show Benitez the exit door - though is still deciding whether to do so now, or wait until the summer - and has even been given a 'him or me' ultimatum by Cristiano Ronaldo. Goal has already rundown some of the coaches Perez could look to should he axe Benitez so soon into his reign, with Zinedine Zidane the clear favourite. There is just one problem: Zidane has suggested he's still not ready to take over the top job , and would prefer to cut his teeth with the club's Castilla "B" team for a while longer. T

Five More Held After Overnight Raids

Five more people have been arrested in Belgium bringing the number taken into custody by police in the last 24 hours to 21. The government said last night that fugitive Paris suspect Salah Abdeslam was not among those detained in raids last night but it is not known if he has been captured in the latest raids. At a news conference soon after midnight, officials said a total of 19 houses were searched in the city - and during the operations, police fired two shots at a vehicle in Molenbeek. One of those arrested was injured when his car tried to ram into police during an attempted getaway. Eric Van der Sypt, a Belgian federal prosecutor, said no firearms or explosives were discovered. No sign of Paris suspect in Belgium raids as Brussels remains under high alert

Brussels remained under partial lockdown Monday after police carried out raids around the Belgian capital amid warnings of possible terrorist attacks similar to those that killed 130 people in Paris 10 days ago. Five more people were arrested Sunday night, bringing to 21 the number of people arrested in raids across Brussels and in Charleroi, another Belgian city, said federal prosecutor Eric Van der Sypt. But authorities found no firearms or explosives in the raids, suggesting they hadn't defused the threat that has prompted the government to raise the terrorism alert to its highest level for Brussels. The operation also didn't uncover Salah Abdeslam , a key suspect in the November 13 attacks on Paris who fled to Belgium in the aftermath and remains on the loose.  CNN security analyst Paul Cruickshank said there's "unprecedented concern" among Belgium authorities. "The worry is that there's another attack team out there, that t

Kurdish forces dig in just outside ISIS headquarters in Raqqa

Image
When Bahoz heard the blasts, he guessed they must have come from French jets. There were 14 of them, all around the time that President Francois Hollande said France had started bombing Raqqa. The capital of ISIS's self-declared caliphate is eerily close to Bahoz's position. A fighter with the Kurdish YPG units , he sits on a series of outposts along a lengthy earth trench that is essentially the front line with Raqqa -- about 20 miles away, across flat, hostile ground. "Three days ago we saw 14 airstrikes suddenly hit just nearby, and then the French said they'd started bombing," he told CNN, when we were given rare access to his position near the town of Ayn al Issa. "We will do our best to avenge Paris ," he vowed. Raqqa is now firmly in the sights not only of the U.S.-led coalition, but also the French and Russian militaries. And in a few hours along the front line, you can periodically hear distant thuds. On the day CNN was a
