Willian’s wonder free-kick in Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Dynamo Kiev in Group G has been named the Uefa Champions League Goal of the Week, presented by Nissan.
With the game at 1-1 in the 83rd
minute, the Brazilian attacker calmly curled the ball into the back of
the net from 25 yards out to score his third goal in the competition
this season.
The goal came at a crucial time for Chelsea,
ensuring the Premier League champions recorded an important three points
to stay in contention for qualification to the knockout stages of the
competition.
Willian beat off the likes of Luis Suarez,
David Alaba, Luuk de Jong and Stephan Lichtsteiner to claim Uefa
Champions League Goal of the Week, presented by Nissan, for matchday 4.
The former Shakhtar star will be hoping to
continue his fine goalscoring form in Europe when Chelsea faces Maccabi
Tel Aviv away from home on Tuesday evening
